Sustainable Step-in Assessment

The following represents a minimum sustainability good practice checklist for hotels.

This assessment has been developed as a cooperation between Travelife for Tour Operators and Hotel Resilient - piloted under the SWITCH-Asia SUSTOUR and TourLink projects. The audit is based on a detailed comparison of the GSTC Criteria for Hotels and Accommodations, the WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics, Travalyst's 32 accommodation attributes for sustainable tourism (used by Booking.com, Expedia and Google), the UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge, the Department for Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), the Thai Green Hotel Standard and the Travelife for Hotels standard.

Evacuee Accommodation Questionnaire

This assessment has been developed for the purpose of determining the capacity of a hotel to accommodate guests who have been forced to evacuate unsafe areas in case of disasters.

This audit was done as a self-assessment and not (yet) reviewed.

The assessment evaluates safety protocols, essential amenities, and support services tailored to meet the specific needs of evacuees. By examining these key areas, we aim to ensure that the hotel can provide not only a secure temporary shelter but also a supportive environment. The results will be used to identify those hotels that would satisfy the level of care required for accommodating evacuated individuals, families or other groups of people.

Hotel Evacuation Preparedness Audit

This audit has been developed for the purpose of assessing the readiness of a hotel to successfully evacuate guests and staff during an emergency situation.

Score: 84 / 100 %

The audit reviews a number of factors that influence the capacity of the hotel to implement a safe and effective evacuation during different hazard scenarios, including hazard and site details, evacuation policies, evacuation infrastructure, emergency communication and accessibility. The results of the audit will evaluate the level of safety and care required for evacuating individuals, families or other groups of people.

We planted new mangroves around our beach

We've planted mangroves along the coast to increase our tsunami protection. The mangroves not only help to prevent erosion, but also provide a habitat for marine life. We've also educated our guests about the importance of protecting our environment and reducing their carbon footprint. It's important for us to take action to protect our community and the planet. We're proud to be part of the solution, and we hope to inspire others to do the same.

All menues now come with fully vegan options

We've added vegan options to all our meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We've sourced the freshest ingredients and created delicious plant-based dishes that even meat-eaters enjoy. Our guests appreciate our efforts, and we've noticed an increase in bookings as a result. It's important to us to provide options that are healthy and sustainable for everyone. We're proud to be leading the way in vegan-friendly hospitality, and we hope to inspire others to follow suit.

We donated to our local community

We are a hotel that believes in giving back to our community. We've donated to local schools, charities, and events, and have even organized volunteer days for our staff to get involved. We source our produce from local farmers and use local businesses for our supplies. It's important for us to support the community that supports us.
